I do feel bad to see Brittany go. She played hard. She was a little pretentious at the end, but I do understand her frustration that some of these players have had 2nd and 3rd chances. However, that's what this season was about. I can't help that. They knew what they were signing up for week 1! Either way, she was, by far, the best Newb this season, so I'm glad she at least lasted the longest out of them.
But moving on, I can't say I'm AS thrilled with the final 5 as I was with the final 9. It's not even that I like the jury members better than the final 5 at this point, but we're back to having things be predictable, with a f4 alliance running the show. As much as Zooey has been getting on my nerves (lol sorry Zooey, but she's just so OTTN and trying to be a dictator here), I think it would be interesting to see her win HoH. I wonder if Tom/Amy are playing the middle as well as they think they are?
Amy has done much better since 7, but she still has room to grow. Still, I feel like her social skills have improved tremendously, and she's learned some things along the way. Does she have a chance to win? Possibly. She needs another comp win or two under her belt, and she needs to start coming up with a plan of how she will get to the end and who she needs to be sitting with to give her the best chance. If she gets on that track, I could see her having a legit shot.
Badger is stepping it up some, but idk how well he is going to be able to "sell" his game if he gets to the end. Should be interesting, but I'm not counting him out just yet. He's likable, so that's in his favor.
Hilarie is getting so many mixed reviews. I do think that she's played a good strategic game, but I don't think a lot of others realize it. If she can explain it well enough, I think she has a shot to win the jury vote. Yes, her physical game has suckJiggle. But it's only 1 piece of the puzzle. Honestly, I don't think I would want to be sitting beside her if I were in the finals, yet it seems she has everyone but Zoeey convinced she's a f2 with them. Oops.
Tom has a good grasp on the final game here, but will it be too little, too late? I'm kinda disappointed that he let his Ashes phase kind of detract from his overall worth as a player. He kinda did nothing in the Ashes, and while I know there wasn't a lot to do, Amy was constantly on, still working all aspects of her game, including social ties. Tom just kinda sat there till it came time to try to get back in the game. I think that could cost him. But, we'll see. Maybe I'm wrong.
As for Zooey, she's got an uphill battle. Needs some key comp wins just to ensure her safety. If it weren't for her annoying "Queen Bitch" attitude, walking around like she deserves to have the game handed to her, then I might be rooting for her more. I think she has some definite skills, and she does work hard with her activity, so that's nice. Still fight left in her, but for her to win, it's gonna take some good luck and perhaps a slight attitude change to earn some jury votes if she gets to the end.
